[Open Log] I feel my heart freezing over

WHO: Jean Kirstein & Anyone
WHAT: Jean is angrieving. Which means a lot of training and violence against inanimate objects.
WHEN: Start of April
WHERE: Summer Guild/Dayrise Colosseum
WARNINGS: violence, possible talk of AoT things (titans, war, gore, etc.), grieving (will warn if needed)

The Feels text dumb

Jean had been pretty lucky during his time in these worlds. There weren't a lot of people he's really suddenly lost. Now it had happened twice in a row: two people he really cared about a lot. Armin had disappeared a month ago, but Jean hadn't really processed that before due to focusing on others' grief. So now that he finally wanted to focus on that grief, he got an additional loss in Ayato - someone who had started to feel like an older brother to him.

It all served as a reminder that no matter what anyone did, the risk was someone was going to be sent back. Any moment, now, any of the people he cared about could be gone. He had a bond with Mikasa, ensuring he would always find her, but not with anyone else.

On top of that, if they did come back, they might not remember anything. Some might even not remember who Jean was, like Ayato; they weren't from the same world, after all. It had happened twice already, too. With Cloud and then Kate.

These facts made him sad, but also angry at the way these worlds worked. Why was it so random who could stay and who could leave? It wasn't fair. And even if someday some of them would go back, why couldn't they ever have a chance to at least say goodbye?

With the combination of anger and grief, he was not doing okay.

A: Solarpeak: Summer Guild: Training Rooms

Training in the simulation rooms in guilds was harmless, thanks to the technology and magic. However, it did feel like something. Jean didn't have any weapons with him today, and he was instead punching and kicking things with fire in his hands and feet. The difficulty level was high, but still low enough so he didn't have any issues continuing to fight.

The panel by the door showed the reality of how long this had been going on: longer than was probably healthy. But Jean had a lot of bent up anger and a lot of virtual hologram mobs he could take it on.

Was it actually training if he was just punching things with all his strength? Probably not efficient, at least.

B: Dayrise: Grand Coliseum

Sometimes, just for a change of scenery, Jean ended up going to the Dayrise Coliseum instead of the guild. When he was around people, he didn't go as "all out" as he would in a simulator room, but it was still clear that he was angry about something with the way the training dummies got beaten up. This time, he had his Hammerspace Purse with most of his weapons with him, that he could take out and use instead of fists.

But mostly he was venting without weapons and sometimes with fire.

C: The Wildcard

Outside of training, Jean can be encountered looking rather apathetic, sad or angry somewhere in Nightwake, mostly in Sunwaning-Solarpeak-Dayrise areas.
