Introduction
Welcome one and all toooooo the Titanic Dome!
This year's arts festival is a lot more ambitious than last year's, what with its giant venue that can house most of Ellipsa's population! Just like last year's, it is a festival by otherworlders for otherworlders, but it's definitely garnered a lot of attention that locals have come, too.
Despite it being a venue for fighting and combat and whatnot, the hallways that line the arenas are definitely prime areas for putting up booths and exhibits. Of course, the won't just be used for fighting this time around, too! It's definitely a creative way of using the venue. Granted, it's a little farther from the city as people do have to teleport to access the area, but what's a little adventure? Everyone is guaranteed safety here despite it being in the middle of two segments as there's security around, so even civilians and those local to Ellipsa have come to enjoy the festivities.
Everyone who participates is given a nice paper arm band like what people are made to put on in amusement parks. The bands aren't something everyone is required to wear, at least, and they can even stop by the booth nearby and decorate their arm bands! Show your support of your favourite fighter, or maybe you're a fan of one of the performers? Either way, it's definitely a good way to show you're on someone's side!
Food, Talents, and Exhibits
🎵 As otherworlders enter the dome, they'll be greeted with the sights of various booths and aromas of the bustling food stalls, some run by familiar faces you might know. Ayaka and Yoimiya have made sure there's plenty of food for visitors to eat while they walk around and partake in the festivities. From barbeque burgers and hotdogs to taco stands, to dumplings of all varieties, never-ending desserts and drinks, a plethora of goodies await those who are hungry. There's even a ramen food truck and for the more brave souls who wish to take on a challenge, featured on the menu is an appropriately named, devil's ramen. Nearby is a taiyaki ice cream stand for those who need to cool off their scorched tongues.
One of the main attractions is the talent showcased by the otherwordlers themselves. Strewn across the park are various stalls and art exhibits. A blacksmith booth with samples and sketches of all sorts of weapons is run by Jean. Works of art from Mary, Tau, Albedo, Kaeya, Jinhai, Rapunzel, and dioramas from Caster are featured. There are also other fun stalls such as magical face painting from Jinhai, and a crafts booth run by Rapunzel who is also giving out complimentary cupcakes. (While supplies last!) Come visit and have a chat with everyone while you admire their works if they happen to be around.
Inside the arena proper sits a dazzling stage stage for everyone to come watch the talents. Like last year, Ren Jinguji takes on the role of host, introducing everyone, hosting games, and even performing himself! All of the performers are stars in their own rights, showcasing their singing, acting, dancing, and instrumental capabilities. Pull up a chair or blanket, and come watch some showstopping performances! Everyone has worked so hard to make this a fun, joyous occasion.
Talent scouts, as well as other professionals native to Ellipsa, are present during the festival, as well. Any performers, if they do well? May end up being approached by these people at some point, and be given an opportunity to go big in the future!
Tournament
The schedule of festivities can be found via pamphlets and in various social media platforms. There are also screens around the dome that show what event is happening now and what event will happen soon!
The Flower Cup games all happen at the start of the tournament, on the first day. Each game is done one after the other, where contestants either line up on stage for the push-ups contest or down on the ground of the arena itself for the animal transformation race. These games serve as a warm-up for the audience to get their blood pumping and for their competitive spirits to light up!
After that, some talents are asked to come up on stage, whether it's a group acting a lighthearted romcom, playing the lyre, singing songs, or performing a "magic" show! Entertainment is at is finest–where so many forms of art come together to make people happy and inspire them. And after half of the talents that have signed up perform, Ren gets back on stage to announce that the Tournament is about to begin!
It's the Seasons Cup first before the Rainbow Cup, and it's towards nighttime that the Rainbow Cup actually happens. What's more, only the eliminations happen on the first day, creating so much hype and suspense for the following day.
Because of how big the tournament has become, many locals have even formed fanclubs of the participants. It hasn't even been a couple of hours, and there are already all kinds of merch of the participants that can be found in the various booths around the dome! Is that a body pillow cover of Hijikata?! Wait- is that E'kayan's face on a mug? Hang on! There are posters of Minato already?! People sure do work fast… There are even a bunch of very muscular men in speedos jogging around the arena come nighttime, all cheering for their Lovely Miss Yoimiya! People are going crazy for just about everybody who's come up on to fight, that much is for certain!
Come the second day of the festival though, more talents take the stage once more, some with their guitar, some with just their own equipment to sing and dance, and some to even eat a giant chicken! There are so many more acts prepared for the second day and everyone is hype for it! But what is more hype is the grand finale for the Seasons Cup and the Rainbow Cup.
Someone might have even rented a blimp just to drive a message by to cheer for Tartaglia! And let's not forget the one fan who's been distributing free bananas as a tribute to MK for the finals…
Of course, the participants do! Not! Disappoint! From day one until the last day of the festival, everyone has fought so well and has displayed so much showmanship. Right before dinner time, Ayaka comes on stage for the first time, introduces herself, and awards the champions and runner-ups with their trophy and a flower crown to wear. Prize money are credited to their accounts by the end of the week.
Before anyone can go, though…? There's still the closing ceremony to spectate!
Festival End
In Naganohara Yoimiya fashion, a festival is never complete without a barrage of fireworks. Together with Tartaglia, the two have prepared a dazzling light show to close off the festival with a bang. A series of fireworks representing each of the seasons start things off, pink sakura petals for spring, yellow suns for summer, red maple leaves for autumn, and blue snowflakes for winter. Next, star shaped meteors blitz across the sky, a representation of the otherwordlers who came from distant worlds. And last but certainly not least, the couple finishes off the show with a swarm of their signature mini goldfish and narwhals that swim around in the sky together until they explode into a beautiful array of orange and blue. Another exciting year for the Arts Festival has come to pass, one that is sure to be filled with fun memories.
Now that festivities have shimmered down, the organisers begin the clean up and the stall owners make their preparations to go home and close up. If you have some time to spare, feel free to lend a hand. The dome is still open to those who just want to wind down for the evening, various tables and chairs around the corridors for resting.

You asked earlier if I lived near the winter segment- in fact, I do. I've got a lovely cabin built out in Frostreign. It's probably the closest I can get to a semblance of home without putting myself or my girlfriend in unneeded danger. If you were to venture out to the winter segment, I'd suggest you be cautious.

I had to travel there a few weeks ago to help Lucifer with the Ice Sprites actually. I know what you mean. If we didn't both have fire magic to keep us all warm that might've been really dangerous. Thankfully we didn't run into any monsters or beasts out there.

I remember hearing about those. I personally didn't undertake the journey to deal with the disappearing adventurers myself, but I did hear it could be quite harrowing if you were caught under the spell of the song that was turning people into those ice sprites. It's good the two of you made it out of there safely, given the weather and what you were up against...creatures who can wield the power of song to entrance you tend to be some of the most dangerous.

I was really lucky to have a pretty reliable partner for the quest. As powerful as his magic was I actually doubt he would have had any trouble even if I wasn't there. I mostly came along in case anyone needed healing. I've read that frostbite is pretty dangerous.
[She asks while she accepts the money and sets it down so that she can retrieve a box from the other side of the cooler, similarly decorated but different from the first. Her satchel is next, to give him change. She still remembers how much she used to charge for a half dozen back in Ourana, and it wasn't too hard to adjust for the currency here in Ellipsa.]

Hah, yeah. I've had to deal with them a couple of times now. None of which would've ended well for me if I hadn't had someone there with me. But don't worry, next time, they won't be so lucky.
[Tartaglia's words drip with an acidic poison towards the unnamed monsters that's so thick that it would have seared through the table had it been real poison. It's clear that what they did was unforgivable in his eyes, and that he'd enact swift revenge the next time he had to deal with them again.]
I guess all there is to say is that it would be best to make yourself as strong as possible! Healing certainly is a useful skill, but picking up a blade isn't bad either.

I get that a lot, honestly. I never got the chance to learn before I left the tower, to be fair. But it's different now. I've been learning about all sorts of weapons since then.

I'm pre~tty handy with it, if I do say so myself. But, what I've learned isn't much compared to my friends. Compared to those guys and people with powers like you I'm still wet behind the ears.

Rapunzel turns back from where she'd gone digging behind the booth and produces a large cast iron skillet. It's damn heavy and would absolutely make for a horrific bludgeoning experience. She holds it up proudly for Childe to see.]
See? Try it for yourself! And I think that's a great way of looking at it! I kind of just enjoy learning everything if I'm being honest. I only ever got to read about things like weapons and combat until I turned eighteen. So of course I've got to try as many as I can, or how will I know which ones are the right fit, right? It's just like trying new foods. You won't know what you like until you've tried it.

She's really not wrong, you could easily kill people with this baby. There's so many fun things that are already going through his head on how to use this as a weapon, but archon forbid his mother learn those techniques.]
That's a good outlook on things you've got there. I feel the exact same way about it. I'm amazed you were only able to get your hands on weapons until you were of age...some in my world can learn as early as they begin to walk. I never would have imagined you could only learn about them from books prior to that.

[She smiles, but its forced, and awkward, and she's trying to move past it quickly if just to avoid making someone she's just met uncomfortable. So he'll take that transition, now familiar with how the pan flips in his hand, how the weight is distributed and how he can control and manipulate it. His eye falls to the training dummies that sit next to Rapunzel's booth, silently agreeing. Yeah, that'll do.]
Well, it's like the old Ellipsa saying goes: better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.
[With one last toss of the frying pan, Tartaglia takes aim at the concrete wall behind the dummy and throws the pan, spinning through the air at just the right angle to get it to bounce cleanly off of the wall back at him with a loud clang that rings out loudly as it strikes the concrete. He catches it with the handle as it sails back through the air right at him, torquing his body into a spin before launching it right at the training dummy, the pan spinning with a violent velocity as it cuts into and sinks three quarters of the way into the dummy.
(It looked something like this, only more violent LOL
The handle sticks out perfectly from it, as the Harbinger admires his work, while the worker at the booth selling the dummy just stares over at the two of them.]
Not too bad! I can see why you're so fond of using a frying pan. I think you'd be able to explode that dummy if you threw it hard enough!

Rapunzel watches as he takes aim, throws the pan, and uses the force of the ricochet to catch it, and seemingly going with the momentum to then hurl it hard enough to embed itself in the training dummy. Which is meant to be able to withstand the force of a sword, by the way! It's not hard to imagine what something like that would've done to a human body, but she's thankfully NOT thinking too hard about that or she might just lose her cupcakes.
It's SILENT for a long moment between the vendor and Rapunzel who make eye contact, then both slowly trail their eyes from the dummy and then back to Childe.
After a second or two of being dazed she'll look back at the vendor again and whisper- "I'll pay for the damages! ... Sorry!"
Then, to Childe, whom she is VERY glad to have not gotten on the bad side of now, she replies.]
Oh. Um... Yeah. Yeah, I think that's... an accurate assessment you've made. That's one heck of a throwing arm you've got there!
